I would be interested in seeing a similar project with polarized 3D, on two screens, with a 300-500 watt lamp, using quiet liquid cooling, and a short-throw design. This would allow for bright 120-inch images from 2-2.5 meters away, with the projector mounted from the ceiling.
led should use 500w or 800 as compare to light and heatsink

My question is can you combine this with yore lcd monitor that has 2 lcd drivers in it to increase the picture quality even more you would probably indeed like a 500w led to provide enough light

@6:05 Those wires sticking up vertically is a mistake. The LED will heat them up and destroy their insulation in no time – unless they're silicone.
great build. if it were to be me, the build would be significantly taller and bigger because i'd use a 300w LED COB, mated to a peltier module, AIO cooler, and a dedicated cool air intake port, and air channel from a nearby aircon to maximize heat dispersion. since phone parts now are easier to source now, i'd go for a native 4k120hz note/tab screen, maybe samsung tab 9 ultra. use of larger screen is also vital to minimize the effect of heat from that 300w LED COB. just one question, how to integrate it into a dolby atmos AVR/processor?

I am building projector the way you build, but when I am using larger LED chip (22mm x 22mm) I can't make light parallel after 1st Fresnel lens. What should I do to use this larger LED.

Would it not be possible to swap out a cheap projector LCD panel with the one you are using in this project? I was given a faulty one of those cheap projectors a few years ago and when I opened it up it was quite a basic setup, led light, low resolution LCD panel, mirror and lenses, surely with a bit of jiggery pokery alterations with the housing it could be done, maybe an upgrade on the led light so it's brighter to 🤔
