MY FAMILY’S VLOGGING CHANNEL
how to increase my RPM ? is there any way to increase it ? my current RPM is around 0.01 !
Great stuff, channel s growing more than I thought.
Nice tips thanks for sharing 🙂
Thanks!
This is something I've been trying to improve
Great video as always. I struggle with audience retention because I like to make my videos long and have a hard time editing them down or just filming less because I have so much to share. Are my videos too long? Is that okay? Any advice?
well let's see if these tips work cheers man i really need to get to 100 subs by the end of the year 🙁
Thanks Tim! If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be where I am on Youtube.
Whao. Mine are very VERY Low 🙁 below average for all of them
Thanks for the information!
This was amazing advice! I will start watching all 3 more closely:)
Thanks Tim… I get a lot out of your videos and your book. 🙂
Thanks for the great video Tim. Have you ever done a video on Social Blade grades? I could not find one. Our newish channel is a "B". Beyond their generic definition on grades, I don't really know what that means.
I am all over youtube analytics! right down to figuring out where my audience is coming from… you can actually dig down to the device used and even operating system! Yes Tim, I was a nerd in my previous life who actually likes numbers and graphs!! 🙂 🙂
I still wonder how youtube rates you when it comes down to 'relative performance'. I find that, I am getting the support from the community, but what I produce is for kids, and until youtube recommends me to the appropriate audience, I won't be getting that performance up! – it's soooo hard to get visibility in this sea of tubers! I'll keep trying tho! :)) I actually enjoy making those videos and learning the tools of the trade as I go along….
This stuff may not be so interesting for adults…. most kids that have watched, have liked, and want more… I need to get to those kids!!!! 🙂 adwords perhaps?? I'm Starting your book this week.
Hi Tim … since i travel a lot due to my work … i start my channel "ron's been here" and i wanted your opinion in this video which is same concept of all my videos … and looking for your feedback 🙂 ( about the footage music …etc ) thanks

Tim, do you know of any apps that helps you post to all or almost all social media sites ie. Facebook, Twitter, Google+ etc. ? I want to become more active on my social media accounts connected to my channel but it's hard take the time to post to so many. Thanks 🙂
ive found that, for obvious reasons, watch time is higher with shorter videos, so ive started editing out unnecessary bits to cut run time from 7-9 minutes to 3-4, videos are just as good (at least i think so), its also increased likes and, to a lesser but still noticeable extent, its increased views.
If a past video didn't do as well as my others, is it worth still trying to promote it through Twitter or Facebook weeks later or should I just move on and don't worry about it?
Thanks for the help! I need to ask a question that I dont want to share my channel in my country because of the CPM rates or something like that is that right?
Always learn something new.
I have a question: How do know what tags are suitable/will produce the most views?
everyone sub to me and i will definitely sub back so comment when you do
Looking for some advice here:
So currently, I have lots of old videos that looking back at are really bad. The problem with them, is that they're dragging down my audience retention scores, which means that my channel becomes lower in search results. Although, on the other hand it does bring in extra traffic to my channel, although if I did take down the videos would i get the same traffic although to newer videos? I don't really know how it works, but i see that my older videos accumulate a lot of views over time.
So do I delete all bad videos, do i get a better audience retention scores or not?
We are working through the book ***** now and trying our best to get our channel going. On a positive note…the last few videos have reached mid 60% for retention. I have to thank Andy for his sweet editing skills for that 😉 Thanks for your helpful videos!!
Thank you Tim! Gotta get that book!
Ouch! I've got 25% retention. 😛 Probably because of my fail self made audio visualizers… xD Or when I forget to add one to my music at all… anyway, I've always wondered… does getting bored while running audience retention on specific videos and clicking away at like one percent completed ruin your audience retention score at all?
I would like.. uh.. try it out, but since I only have like 600 views from other people in total, I'd probably just further wreck my scores XD
Ciao thx for all your suggestion. But just a little critic…. you talk so fast sometime is quite difficult for no mother tongue understand everything and i must listen twice or trice the video, because is difficult to retain the subject while translating words.
Or your public is only usa or english mothertongue or if you want wider public should be better to be a little slower…or this way you force people like me to buy your book;-)
Is it available outside usa or via ebook?
Thx for your work that help so much people
With appreciation Christian from Italy
Video Creators [Help] [Urgent]
Tim, I need your help, man, I'm a big fan of your channel and you inspired me to start my own. I don't know anyone who has bigger authority than you in this topics.
I have a channel for one week and I got 3000 views and 20 subs. I followed your advice and contacted blogs and groups to offer my content, and there's the guy that has a few of Facebook pages and he makes business of it (advertisement) with almost 200000 likes. Thats beside his other platforms on other social media.
He responded and, shortly speaking, he asks for the raw file of my video to upload on his Facebook page with a link to my youtube channel, he says Facebook prefers it's own videos and makes them more visible.
Do you think it's a good deal, what are possible cons of it that I don't understand. I don't know much about Facebook videos and it's application for youtube growth, also I don't want to get myself into any bad situation. I don't make money online, but I have big dreams and I really care about my work.
I appreciate any advice,
Best regards,
Stan
Great tips Tim! Unfortunately, we can't please every single audience. Subscribers come and go, but the show must go on.
Video Creators so when it comes to retention, does YouTube care about percentage or overall time or both? Which would be better? ( eg. 75% of a 1:00 min video > 50% of a 10:00 min video)
Just wondering Tim, do you think you could talk to youtube, and possibly they could implement something into the idea of audience retention, of course it is a much better idea than basing off view count. Although there is one problem, and that is that smaller channels don't have such a big subscriber base, therefore less fans that are going to be very loyal and watch through. So just some people stopping by, and then leaving because they clicked for a random reason would damage a lot.
So do you think, you could talk to youtube about possibly implementing something that means that being above average for a video with 30k views and 150k subs would be a higher audience retention score, than that of someone with 7k subs and 2k views like myself.
I think this would really benefit youtube, as it would help support smaller creators in growing a bit quicker. The main reason, as I know is that obviously the videos aren't good enough so people don't always subscribe, but I think this would help to grow more smaller youtubers.
Currently at day 20 of the book. I gotta say I love it. Money well spent
[Question]
1. If I'm fluent in few languages, is it a good idea to create 3 youtube channels and redo all your content in 3 languages? Or is it a waste of time and it's better to focus on one language speaking audience?
2. Personal name and surname as a name of youtube channel and your brand vs. brand name, your take on it.
Plz sub to me
Video Creators how can i submit a question ?
I guess my 90% is good then! Yeah, totally lying. Lots more work to do. I didn't think about things like music and a certain phrase triggering people to leave.
