Great idea… but what if your horse is able to run past all of these gates? I checked the design and found no problems. If I add another row, it doesn't work. What do I do? Please help.

I build my jump tester different but it still works good
i play on bedrock (don't tell me to play on java i'm on iPad) and at least in past updates my horses couldn't walk through fence gates (too fat lol) and i haven't tried it yet but what if it doesn't work
I just tested it and my horse got all the way to 15 not past it but still that’s really fast

Speed Tester:
1 stone or wood pressure plate
15 pieces redstone
7 sighns
30 building blocks
7 fence gates
15 fences or 30 building blocks of your choice
Jump Tester:
2 tripwire hooks
1 string
12 blocks of your choice
7 redstone torches
3 redstone dust
1 half slab your choice
6 fence gates your choice
16 fences your choice
5 sighns your choice

THANK YOU! simple but genius AND works on my bedrock flat world survival (we have no source of stone for repeaters) edit: oof, well I guess I gotta use a wood pressure plate 🤦🏼🤷🏼 oh well, close enough lol
My horse ran past all the gates
Really great simple speedometer, for jump height honestly just making walls and testing the horse with different wall heights works fine, you can also add slabs and layers of snow with your walls to test precisely

Bro why my horse faster than 15 💀
Super useful. Works on 360, though I don't know know well. All my animals seem to be able to outrun 15 blocks from time to time, usually ranging from 11 – 13. Only one of them is lightning fast though.

Good build, but there’s no materials list, and I’m building this in survival.
Great speed tester but jump testing needs no red stone just a wall with 5.5 blocks down to 3 blocks and try to jump on it in different places
I love this. I just built your jump amd speed testers and just tested it with one of my horses. They're insanely simple and easy to build and it works on my PS4 (Bedrock Edition); finding tutorials that work for my console and edition is extremely difficult, so thank you so much.
I don't know if horse speeds have changed in the last six years but my horses run through them all
By far the easiest design. Many people use hoppers and complex red stone circuits when in reality all you need is a simple 1 second pressure plate and some gates. Definitely using this in my world!

I tested, and you don't want a horse that runs slower that 6-7, 'cause that's how fast a player without and speed modifiers goes.
(Speed modifiers like soul speed and the slowness potion effect)
