VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
This woman is incredible! Lisa was paralyzed at fourteen, then became a three-time Paralympian with six gold medals before she got injured and had to quit the competition. She then returned to nature for some healing and found that it helped her longtime pain. Now, this nomad surfs daily during the season and mountain bikes some incredible terrain.
Her 2021 Ford Transit was designed and built to suit her physical limitations so she can thrive outdoors and independently. A lift gets her into a raised fixed bed, and a separate chair lift gets her and her wheelchair safely in and out of the van. This rockstar of an athlete inspires all of us with passion for what drives her happiness and inner peace!

I have ms and have been using a chair for the last 13 years. Now I have decided to convert an old medium duty ambulance and most folks think I’m crazy. I for one do not. At least most days.
Excellent info as our family gears up to get our first accessible Winnebago camper RV. I’m eager to learn how you get yourself and surfboard into and out of the ocean and beach.
love how wide the door entrance is
I've had many spine surgeries and the final one this passed April 11,2023. I was told this is all that could be done. I have to prepare for life in a wheelchair. I have lost a lot of hope until I saw this video. I love this whole concept. I am not as athletic as this young lady but I sure can see my independence with a van like this. There is so much I want to see in the U.S. I can see this van being a perfect avenue to achieve my goals. Thank you for sharing this video. This is 💯 helpful. Now to find a reasonable price vehicle to move forward in Baltimore Md. is a horse of another color lol. God bless you young lady and everyone watching this video. Stay safe live happy.😊
Thank you for sharing this info. It's been really helpful in my build.
Thank you for sharg !
Whoever buys yr van hv to pay a lot for this special handicap modelled van.
Hvg $ sponsor like yr dad to pay for yr remodelled van helps a handicap vmuch!
I'm most impressed with the pull out stove
UR amazing! I’m a part time wheelchair user and I’m making the transition to a nomadic lifestyle (sort of by choice). I worried about dealing with my WC and service dog. Your story is awesome me and provides with much needed inspiration.
You go girl!
Definitely inspiring, I could never imagine. Thanks for sharing! 🌹
Great video. I'm in a wheelchair and I like the "Super Arm Lift". I would like information about it and where I can buy one. I live in Florida and nobody had seen one. Thanks.
I've been doing this stuff for a long time in Australia but still learnt from your video. info exchange in our world is just gold. thanks heaps.
I lost my ability to walk 3 years ago so I have an electric scooter in my small home to get from room to room. I want to redo my kitchen with a new floor and kitchen counter and cabinets. The counter is too high for me to work at but a kitchen table suffices for now. My biggest issue is the upper kitchen cabinets that I can't reach. This lady's pull down cabinets are the perfect solution. I didn't know they were a reality so I am really excited to have the perfect solution for my kitchen design. Thank you so much for showing all of us your van. May you have many happy years in it.
Toilet?
This is extremely inspirational.
Makes you wonder, if it's really worth it to complain. God Bless. P s love the actuator lift.
I love what you do. 🌹❤🌹❤🌹❤🌹❤🌹❤🌹
I have a disability and can only dream to have the means to have something like this.. You have done an Amazing job!! Thanks for sharing
Excellent video & amazing woman. Thanks for displaying accessible opportunities for tiny living.
Awesome!
I am a c5 quadriplegic and This is a dream of mine!
I am having a spinal issue and having mobility issues + urinary + bowel problems. But still having heavy dreams of living in a van. Now I am 33. I place myself in a van at least by 35. 😍
Interested in the lift I'm in a wheelchair my self and not able to find dealer or who makes it…please more info greatly appreciated it…
Is there any info on where to purchase the arm lift? And who did your cabinets? Any info appreciated.
I am blown away by your setup! You’ve pretty much thought of everything, but I’m scared to see the price tag. I’ve done lots of tent camping and slept in my car and have dreamed about van life or RV life, but didn’t know how to make it accessible. Now I at least have a starting point. Thank you for sharing this with us!
Love your build out. I did my Sprinter 144 in 2020 and now want to sell it and get a transit or a 170wb sprinter. I've a shower sprayer at the back and built a bench that slides in my trailer hitch receiver so I can shower out back, but I'd love to have a wet bath inside the van. I also started with just the fridge, then added a dometic cooler this last year before a moab trip (smoothies and ice cream snickers bars hit the spot after a hot ride), you could easily fit one right under the bed on one side where you have the clear bins and still fit your bowhead in, easy. Hit me up if you wanna catch some trails in Oregon!
I use a power chair but I've been wanting to do more nomad living. But I'm not sure until running across your channel if it was possible because I can't find anybody that us is a power chair. I know you're in the wheelchair but I don't have any resources for power chairs and your build looks like it would be the best situation that I've seen so far. If you happen to have any ideas for channels to check out besides yours that would help me a little bit more I would greatly appreciate it. Or if anybody else knows of any channels that might help my situation. Thank you in advance.
your an incredible woman <3
🥰🥰🥰
So many great ideas. I'm going to be digesting this for a while.
Thank you for sharing!
I would love to have one like this
❤my name is Tracy I am in a wheelchair and I have got a disability it’s called cerebral palsy
Love this video
Do you have your own YouTube channel?
Thanks — this is a truly brilliant accessibility/adaptive thinking story (from a 64-year-old man living w/C-6 SCI since 1976)
I love how this chanel honors diversity and inclusion.
BRO….I got out wheelchaired 20 years I have been rolling and traveling (no ocean stuff) but this video blew me away like 10 times. I even have a 2021 med roof awd transit. I just do not think most people can grasp how Elite this woman is.
Does anyone know what mini-winch she is using for her bike as i need one just like this?
