Though it’s notorious for being extremely fast, the speed of light is actually very slow! So slow in fact, that even a snail is faster!
In this video we’ll find out how the speed of light is so slow and explore some other interesting facts about light.

If the universe is much bigger than what we can see from earth then how would you be able to get to the edge of the observable universe? Since you are all the way out there you would be able to see much more than what we can see from earth, therefore no matter how far you went it would seem to you that you are still at the center of the observable universe. Unless you somehow made it outside of our universe, but that is still just a theory.
It's not that light is slow, it's that space is HUGE!

This is cool, but time dialation opens up a whole other can of worms. As you get closer and closer to c, time (relative to the rest of the universe) begins to slow down, and the distance you travel (as far as I understand) in a way becomes "shorter" as you don't experience time the same way as the objects around you. In fact, if you were to go just below c, time dialation could feel more like days to you, even if it took years for you to actually reach your destination according to people on earth.
If I got this wrong, please correct me, this is a really weird idea that's not easy for me to wrap my head around
It contains microwaves? Really? I use that to cook.
This channel is so underrated. This video was great and deserves much more, hope you do better! ❤❤❤
immediately after his close to accurate statement, he immediately starts with "light = electromagnetic radiation" but uhhh… no, i don't care what all the "fancy machines" say it is, light is what god made for us to be able to see, without light, there would be no color, with no color, there would only be a void and no one would be able to see where they were going
FINALLY SOMEONE SAYS SOMETHING CORRECTLY ABOUT THE UNIVERSE! well… almost, this was the most accurate so far tho, he said "light was the first thing created in the universe" that was extremely close, it was the 3rd thing created, god made heaven and earth first and THEN light, i never thought a "scientific" video would get this close to actual reality, i of course know that i'm gonna hear "big bang" somewhere in this video or even in the comments
bro complaining about it taking 4 hours to get to neptune from the sun when it takes us about 3 days to get to the moon currently
Wow🤩
Lightspeed almost goes at 250,000 km, but it's max speed is 300,000.
if speed of light is extremely slow then cars are snails
Nahhhhh man, bro is speeding up light
It is actually really fast
Ummmmmm what….your video might tooked years to do
0:56 microwave
2:14 why no purple or orange 😭😭
THE UNIVERSE IS 93.2 BILLION LIGHT YEARS OF COURSE IT WOULD BE SLOWER
Stupid
Light slow ? Well its farter then you
I wish i could do math as good as this cousin of Albert Einstein
Blender: your a microscopic ot in the universe
Me : uhhhh
Soo you're telling me…. that you can run 8627562791mph?
6:12 The Circumference of it is 295 Billion Light Years!
We must travel 1B Light Years/s to get there in 5 mins
props to the cameraman recording the spaceship go around the universe
Legends say that The Milky Way galaxy is still getting smaller to this day.
Just for reference, you on the spacecraft assuming it could actually instantly accelerate to such speeds, maintain such speeds and decelerate, the trip would seem instantaneous (in reality it would probably be a couple days if such a craft could actually exist as you can't instantly accelerate) because for light the concept of time does not exist. For someone not on the spacecraft, it would take however long the amount of time it would take light to get there. Possibly thousands upon thousands of years.
A mind-bending concept from this time-dilation is that a photon is created, travels however far it travels, and dissipates all in the same instant from the photons perspective. As in, all of those events happen simultaneously for the photon. It is only us non-photons that observe time between the different events. IE there is a photon that "could see" the universe blink in and out of existence never knowing it existed in the first place.
The puzzle is how long would it take to ring a bell on the moon when you pushed a very long stick 1 inch in 1 second when the stick is 1 inch from the bell on the moon?
It's so slow, it's fast
I love your videos hope you reach 100k subscribers
The fastest speed in universe is gravity. Its the reason why it can pull light and wont let it bounce back if gravity as black hole is strong/fast enough.

No invented speed of light basic, now how to improve faster than light speed, over acting loss performance, basic first,
and i tought that my top speed record of 324km/h was fast🥲
Light isnt slow, humans just live sort lives.
That's not what I want to know. Your space ship is virtual anyway. But how fast are these stars moving around ? Faster than light ?
man the speed of light still incorrect there is no way that speed of light travels that slow
plot twist snails are to fast even speed cant keep up so it becomes slow
now, lets put snail for a ride all around the universe with a real time stream
