Hello! I'm trying to upload a .mov video, from server using "add from server" button, to my WordPress Galery. The file appears in the Media Library, but when I select it and hit "upload" nothing happens, just a while line and nothing is loading. Can you tell me which might be the problem? Thank you
This video was a lifesaver! I have a question though: I have an "Author's Blog" page, but it appears to be a static page right now. How do I get the blog posts to show up under this page. Right now, if I add a post it shows up in the sidebar but not under the blog page.

Adding WordPress Security is a really great idea too, even if you're just starting out. There are bots that are constantly probing WordPress for weaknesses.
Having your wp-login page setup with Google reCaptcha will stop lots of bots
Making sure your "admin" user is removed or has their username changed
Not exposing your Super Administrators name as an "author"

Whoever recommends Host Gator, should be exiled. If you get hosting with them, they put a favicon that WILL NOT GO AWAY.. EVER. EVEN IF YOU MOVE TO SOMEONE ELSE FOR HOSTING.. STILL THERE. SHOULD BE SUED.

Thank you for this video! I am technologically challenged, and it has really helped. A question though, I recently switched over from wordpress.com to hostgator, but when I followed the directions to quick install wordpress on the cpanel, the dahsboard is still the same as wordpress.com. Why is this? I want to be able to install plugins but can't.

Hi Mike. I've got a question about how the Home page is working. I set a page to be the front page, and it does open to that page, but there is another page listed as
"Home" which seems to be the exact same. Is there a way I can merge the
front page" into the "home" page? It seems there is a configuration problem. If I do the same on another wordpress installation it works just like it is supposed to. Any ideas how I can solve this? By the way, I'm loving your videos. I'm learning a lot from them!!!

I just need a one page site with a paypal clicky, I sell a specialized electronic device on Ebay and thought a .com would be a good compliment. What do you think about using Whois for domain and hosting? I kind of like their free website builder. Comments appreciated – Rick
