VERDICT
If you’re new to web design, and you just want to get an attractive, easy-to-manage website off the ground with a minimum of fuss, then Squarespace is a much better choice than Webflow. It comes with a much gentler learning curve, while still offering you a lot of powerful content management features.
Squarespace is also a better choice for ecommerce — its selling features are considerably better, particularly where selling digital products are concerned.
Webflow wins however when it comes to giving you control over your website. Its interface lets you customize the style of every conceivable aspect of your site, its animation tools are superb, and its custom content types let you create more dynamic, bespoke websites than Squarespace allows. You will need technical skills to get the most out of the platform, however.
