Creator Insider is an informal YouTube channel to share information from the YouTube Creator technical team with the wider Creator community. We will feature different people talking about the products they work on and changes we are making so you have more context. Please note this is not an official YouTube channel and is an experiment.
A very difficult question, do you know if the retention of a video is negatively affected when there are comments with timestamps that lead people many times to see only a few seconds of your video? or this is good?
Where is the audience retention rate for the whole channel? I have looked and looked for many months. It used to be there now it is gone. WHERE IS IT?
Loving this series; keep them coming! Can you do the end screen analytics? This is a good one to show
The voice is not clear at all.
Good vidoe
Two irritating things: Poor quality audio full of echo; you reading the screen without any eye contact with audience.
Too hard to understand what you are saying because too much echo
thank you for sharing this tips and knowledges we hope yu can supports us very well continously
is low attention rate normal for small youtubers. in perspective one of my videos was 11 minutes but on average people only watched it for two minutes
this is use full video
come on … you just post twice per week and did not post any video last week … even creator insider could not maintain the schedule ??? Tom please come back to the channel ! Connor and others are too amateur !!!

YTA very best reports
Thank you Bro.
thank you
Wow great video sir
Thanks
Useful video, clear and concise. One suggestion though: get a better mic lol
Good information
Why youtube encourage everyone to spam content and promotes only viral stuff while considering everyone posting on youtube is making it as a busines act? There are artists that can not spam content due to high productions cost of music and videos. The algorithms are recommending me only things I watched 1000 time already or popular stuff that I am not interested in, while not showing me most content I am interested in, based on my past preferences. Same as my videos, if I post rarely, the reach is extremley low while on other channels where I spam low quality content I get A LOT more audience and exposure.
Nice
Thanks for clarifying
GOOD VIDEO
Thank You! Great tips
The audio was terrible?
Great video!
Off subject a bit. I would like to be able to choose from albums on my iPhone when creating a Post, instead of only being able to choose from my camera roll.
If I am making 1-hour long videos, and viewers are watching 15-20 minutes of it, I think it's a great success. But YouTube doesn't seem to appreciate that. Think about 'minutes watched' of that video too. It's not easy to keep a viewer for that long. Yet, you just think in percent as watched.
like video for information
The irony of doing a Short about retention
And no offence guys, but the sound on this is really echoey and your presenter is clearly reading from a script as he's looking at it and not the camera. If a regular YouTuber churned this low-quality stuff out, they'd get no views at all! Really frustrating. Please put more effort into (all of) the videos and set a good example!
Step 1: get views
Thanks for the clarification
Very nice
