In this video Paul will be showing you how to perform an accurate speed test for your internet connection.
You may need to complete this test if you are experiencing buffering or drops in connection.
You can find the test at:
As with all of these check its a good idea to have a pad and paper to hand to make notes of any steps you complete should you need to refer back to them later.
For this check, you may also need:
* RJ45 / Ethernet lead

We had to mess with our mtu setting to reduce it from 1500 down to 1128 ( these values did work 1228 or 1328 or 1428 ) <- I was watching the speed test ping.
So what i did.
windows 11 goto the search button and type in
cmd
next you want to RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR
next you need to edit the mtu so we use command
netsh interface ipv4 set subinterface "Wi-Fi 2" mtu=1128 store=persistent
We got ( ok ) <- as a response. so I changed those values from 1128 to 1228 and redid the speed test and watched my ping ms seek time and also what was coming back for Download and upload speeds
If you are using an Ethernet cable you need to just change "Wi-Fi" to "Ethernet" example…
netsh interface ipv4 set subinterface "Ethernet" mtu=1428 store=persistent
you can try different mtu values ( packet sizes basically ) to try and stop sending large values 1500 mtu across the net.
Before you do all of this Look up more Youtube video's on the mtu packet size. Get to understand how to use your machine.
Example we used "Wi-Fi" <- this came back as no Element found. So we had to use "Wi-Fi 2" <- this was my subcategory and correct command as part of the prompt command.
I did this because I have a poor connection. So instead of sending an Elephant across a tiny bridge we lessen the value to send goats. <- Get it? smaller packet size for more consistent transfer of info.
WARNING do not mess with your MTU settings if your not sure what you are doing. You need to find out your default setting. Then have that written down to revert back to your original mtu as a safety precaution.
If this helped your speeds increase give me a thanks comment below. I do not know if it work on xp or vista but should work with windows 10.
Again do not change anything unless your 100% comfortable.
Our speed increase jumped about 10 to 15% better. Some may see x2 speed increases. This depends on the network, ether adaptor, ether cable type ( we are ordering a new Cat a6 to go from 100mhz to 250 mhz line speed ) cat 8 cables are for big companies that send bucket loads of data. ( Trust me you do NOT need this and could never send or receive that much data in theory on your current device.)
Cat a6 ether cable is much better than our old cat e5 cable.
I'll stop rambling. I really hope this helps others understand packet size.
Notes: if you use the "Wi-Fi" command while your plugged into the ether port…. it will not work i believe. Use the CORRECT command ! On wifi to the router then go "Wi-Fi"
If Plugged in via an Ether cable use the command "Ethernet"
I'm super dissapointed with Zen after being with them for several years. Should be getting 300 mbps but only getting under 100 mbps for 50% of the time. Emailed their customer services who were not at all helpful. Will be switching to another ISP.
Few words to promote this video thx
telkomsel gw aj 25.87mbps 😂 bisa smpe 30mbps lbh lgi
Is there a clause in Zen’s contract that states customers aren’t allowed to upload a speed test vid? I’m struggling to find any. To be clear, I’m not trolling! From what I’ve heard they’re the best ISP.
