I can proudly share this PRACTICALITY because I have done it 🙂
NOW: You do not have to do what you love as a full-time job especially when you don’t have a financial backup.
So what is that financial backup?
If your monthly expense is Rs. 30,000 right now then before you quit the job you hate to do what you love, you should atleast have Rs. 30,000 x 6 or 12 months = Rs. 1,80,000 to upto Rs. 3,60,000 in your bank.
It could be 3 months as well depending upon your calculated risk appetite & then doing whatever it takes.
I started as an online chat representative at a call center as a college dropout in 2010 for just Rs. 9700 per month coz my dad got a paralytic stroke & I didn’t have financial backup.
After working happily & hard achieved the position of customer service head for one of the call centers for the UK process by 2014.
2014, I got my 1st ever digital marketing job.
Raised myself to Sr. Digital Marketing Trainer & Product Manager by 2018.
2018, left the corporate job culture & focused on my Personal Brand, Digital Pratik, full time & the journey continues to now being the founder, creator & operator of @JorrParivar & JorrDaar IP Building.
From 2010 – 2018, I was busy with my full-time job & worked 3-4 hours extra for my side hustle & saved money during those years & now doing what I love.
So if you don’t have good financial backup or have family responsibilities, then you don’t have to become an entrepreneur in your 20s just coz somebody else might be making crores.
Their parents might be making crores too & the kid might not have responsibility or the kid might be really talented & worked hard based on the timing & might succeed.
So many variables.
So it’s okay to start making small progress towards your dream even with a full-time job till you have financial backup.
