Introducing Serif WebPlus X4: Professional Quality Websites Made Easy. With WebPlus X4, anyone can create professional looking websites, with no need for any HTML coding! Create unique site designs and add impressive interactive web features, whatever your level of experience.
Looks like this software will get tons of work done concerning web design!
Really good stuff here. I know tons of people that used to use it. have you guys come out with anything new?
Hi, yes, you can make pages dynamic with database-driven content by customizing the HTML code, inserting your own head and body fragments as required. The only minor caveat with SQL-driven sites is that you'd have to use your own host, but I'd say that's a non-issue really as most advanced users already have a favourite host that supports all their required server-side functionality. HTH, Dale @ Serif.
Didn't quite see it – but can you attach the front end to a back end such MYSQL and use SQL statements to program data transfer between the database and the front end.
If I dont know anything about website making Can I stil build a website using this software ? Is the instruction easy to follow? And the bonus is still available. Thanks for your answer
@SerifSoftware : Will this work with my YOU TUBE page?
@krommann1984 It's an absolute bargain krommann, but maybe I'm biased! The latest version WebPlus X5 is US$99.99 or UK£81.69, which includes the web design software with all its bells & whistles, a free 6 month web hosting package, and at the moment if you order from Serif.com online there's another free bonus – High Impact eMail 5 Platinum software, worth $149.99 on its own, included with every WebPlus X5 order. HTH, Dale @ Serif.
so im guessing this isnt cheap……

@superpantman Hi Superpantman, the purpose of WebPlus (now up to version X5) is that users can design visually without learning or typing any HTML or CSS code, so it depends what you are after. You can use HTML/DHTML/JavaScript etc etc in your WebPlus sites by adding fragments of code to the head or body sections, but the main job of coding is handled automatically by WebPlus. This means users can design a page with attractive elements and interactive gadgets that are easy to add and manipulate.
I'm a beginner html programmer. What i would like to know is can you create really high quality webpages using only the html and cascading style sheet (css) code? I don't really know much about it and would appreciate an answer
@doogertothex Yes, WebPlus supports Google AdSense, which automatically chooses relevant ads for your site. The high relevancy helps improve the click through rate and improve earnings. HTH, Dale @ Serif.
i have a question. Can you put advertisements on your website and make money off of it?
@mastermaster12345679 Well there's a new version out now Adrian and it's even better than WebPlus X4, so I'm sure Google, Yahoo, Facebook and the like will be buying it to revamp their sites!
Hey, I have a question. Let say I want to created my own search engine or a email networking site, something like yahoo , google and other social site. Is this the best software program to use for a huge project like that?

@lovesnooker2010 Hi there yes you can add videos. You can upload your own or add those streamed from other sites, and yes you can create members' areas too. It's easy to add a login box, then there are behind-the scenes controls to manage users accounts, passwords, groups, and – for forums etc – user levels too. HTH, Dale @ Serif.
Ordered it today. Really excited to use it.
Hi. Just reviewed this product, thanks Serif for sending me copy. If enough people pop over and subscribe thumb up and rate/comment and request I will do give away competition of review item (already have serif permission so all fine)
I personally think that codding is the real way to go. If you are really thinking about making a professional site, you will need to know code. The problem is with software like this is it acts as "what you see is what you get" but thats not how websites work. There are so many different browsers and screen sizes so that what you see is NOT what you get. The problem with web developing is that their are no easy routes. :/
@06gangsta Hi 06g, adding YouTube videos is easy, just using the video's ID code from the YouTube address (e.g. 6fWKQvEs3WY) or the full address (e.g. youtube.com/watch?v=6fWKQvEs3WY). When you add a YT video to your page, you get to choose the size and WebPlus automatically makes a nice thumbnail for you. And yes when your site's visitors click it, it can open in YouTube or play in-place.
@TVtheRoom Hi there, forums can be added to WebPlus sites most easily by using our Smart Objects (left hand toolbar, green globe icon). Smart Objects are so named because they take the hassle out of some cooler web features that require "server-side processing". Serif's servers reliably host the forum and make it easy to add the feature to your website, so you don't have to learn or use any HTML coding if you don't want to. There are also related security, user signup and mod/admin features too.
@ykzadark Hi, the majority of this video was made with Serif MoviePlus, to edit out hesitation, speed up some activity, join sections together, add titles, animate text & images, to zoom, transition between scenes etc. The WebPlus action was captured with Camtasia, and there is a 10s intro section that uses Flash, but most of that could have been created in MoviePlus too. It's possible to create all these effects and plenty of others just using MoviePlus and DrawPlus, and a screen capture tool.
Nice and my website im gonna putting up videos frm other sites such as youtube and etc so i was wondering how would i put up thumnails of the video >>
like you can see on youtube and obviosly when you click it will show the video on another page… if that makes sense… thanks
@SerifSoftware thanks for the quick reply =)
@xxxdev16xxx Hi dev16, it depends on the format of the template you buy – if it's HTML files and images, then yes you can import it, although it'll probably need a little tweaking to make it look perfect. Of you can simply look at other designs rather than buying them and use the simple built in design tools in WebPlus to draw and place things where you need to achieve the right look! HTH, Dale @ Serif.
Can I use my own template ? Bought from premium template sites on the internet.
Thanks.
@TheJackGinger Hi Jack. If using the free webspace provided with WebPlus, it automatically enters account details for you when uploading. I'd suggest you contact Serif Support via the Serif website, they can validate your account details. If using another host, they can provide you with an FTP server address, logon and password.
@SerifSoftware Thanks, But it is asking for an FTP code?
@TheJackGinger Hi Jack, I'm presuming you mean web space to upload your site to, as WebPlus itself is a website creator…. The good news is that WebPlus X4 includes free hosting, subdomain name, and email address! It's available free of charge for 12 or 18 months depending on which promotion was running at the time of purchase. You can access your free hosting package from the Startup Wizard. HTH, Dale @ Serif.
@SerifSoftware Can You please tell me a free Website creator that I can upload WebPlus to,
Thanks!!!
@Downloadgenerator Hi Downloadgenerator, there is a written tutorial on Serif's website to help users preview and publish their sites, I'll send you a link to it in a message. Dale @ Serif.

@SharpBladeX10 Hi SharpBlade – I'd say Fry's Electronics is a safe bet then, thanks for your inquiry and I hope you enjoy using WebPlus X4.
@SharpBladeX10 Hi SharpBlade, WebPlus X4 is appearing in an increasing number of stores in different countries, if you message me and let me know where you are I'll find out where's close by for you. Dale @ Serif.
