Linus is partly incorrect when he's telling that the web usage is slowing down. Ofc there is an increase in mobile and console app usage. But usually these apps make use of so-called web APIs. They don't serve HTML like a website do, but they still communicate over the HTTP or HTTPS protocol. So apps are using the web as backbone.
