It's fair to say that there is no difference in the image quality of yours compared to the expensive shop-bought one. Impressive!
good job, congratulations
Really enjoyed it !. Thanks !
the effort you put into these videos is truly amazing, really well done
I would be interested in seeing a similar project with polarized 3D, on two screens, with a 300-500 watt lamp, using quiet liquid cooling, and a short-throw design. This would allow for bright 120-inch images from 2-2.5 meters away, with the projector mounted from the ceiling.
led should use 500w or 800 as compare to light and heatsink
When are you going to do a liquid cooled one with Linus Tech Tips using noctua fans and a 1000w LED?
10/10
My question is can you combine this with yore lcd monitor that has 2 lcd drivers in it to increase the picture quality even more you would probably indeed like a 500w led to provide enough light
Brighness is very low when watch ovie annight use flipchilp led
DIY Perks, every video is a trove of knowledge and ingenuity. Keep it up.
Please make diy projector 2 with lasers light source and compact version using android tv box.
dual lcd 4k home cinema projector ?????????
you should use an mi tv stick
Now we wait for the incandescent version of the projector with a CRI 99
Fans are pointing the wrong way. They're both pointing in, not out.
spends days fabricating it to say "this is the best you can do"
Can i use diffusers instead of lenses between led and lcd?

@6:05 Those wires sticking up vertically is a mistake. The LED will heat them up and destroy their insulation in no time – unless they're silicone.
great build. if it were to be me, the build would be significantly taller and bigger because i'd use a 300w LED COB, mated to a peltier module, AIO cooler, and a dedicated cool air intake port, and air channel from a nearby aircon to maximize heat dispersion. since phone parts now are easier to source now, i'd go for a native 4k120hz note/tab screen, maybe samsung tab 9 ultra. use of larger screen is also vital to minimize the effect of heat from that 300w LED COB. just one question, how to integrate it into a dolby atmos AVR/processor?
Will you make it smaller in any upcoming video ? @diyperks
Somehow knew before watching the video he would be using the screen from a 4k sony xperia smartphone.
Amazing talent and knowledge u have my friend

bravo
why not use the backlight of the screen..? not strong enough?
Make a foldable phone
I am building projector the way you build, but when I am using larger LED chip (22mm x 22mm) I can't make light parallel after 1st Fresnel lens. What should I do to use this larger LED.

Hear me out, instead of a phone, raspberry pi with an android like interface. Then all you'd need is a Bluetooth remote like a roku and boom….DIY SMART projector
It's 2024 now.. now 4k isn't impressive… 8k might be a bit impressive though
He gives me hope that humans are better than AI
Can i use the 4k micro oled display instead of the phone panel?
Wholeheartedly amazing!
Your fans are blowing inwards though
Epic
Amazing video! Amazing results. How about using a layer of infrared blocking glass? I mean to add the reflector
Would it not be possible to swap out a cheap projector LCD panel with the one you are using in this project? I was given a faulty one of those cheap projectors a few years ago and when I opened it up it was quite a basic setup, led light, low resolution LCD panel, mirror and lenses, surely with a bit of jiggery pokery alterations with the housing it could be done, maybe an upgrade on the led light so it's brighter to
nice guide to the 2K 4K projector
