Here’s how you can launch play mode much faster while testing development for your Unity games with a single setting. Disabling Domain Reloading and Scene Reloading will make certain aspects of play mode not work exactly like the actual build of the game but for most aspects of testing the game itself, this is a huge boost to development speed.

I think there is a problem with mine..
I’ve entered play mode and it hasn’t work even past 15 mins
What do I do
This was very helpful. The unity test build is slower than it reasonably needs to be. If you want to test the real game, you need to export it anyway. There's no reason to rebuild just for the play mode.
BRO!! gamechanger!! THANKS!!
KIRALİSTAN
Awesome! I'm new to development and this helped instantly.
Thanks so much, it worked! & also great explanation about what Domain Reload & Scene Reload actually do
Holy shit THANK YOU SO MUCH!
omg its so good i would have to wait over 30 seconds to enter play mode just to change walk speed literally
Thank you so VERY much Sir! We went from waiting almost half an hour to enter play testing down to about ONE MINUTE!!! You ROCK Sir!!!!!
This really helps, thanks !
This certainly helps, although exiting play mode is still slow. Do you have any advice for that?
Any tips on making the build load faster to a menu that still has a 3d scene in background? and with some NPC's idle in foreground but behind the menu itself.
Awesome
A Lot helpful 👍
Geez this could of saved me so much time. Wish I would have known this earlier!
wowa. I was up to almost 30 seconds of load time before this. Thank you.
You just got another sub
Bro, U saved my ton of development time so, u got 1 sub
My project took literally 35s to enter playmode, because it is 3D and open world and is already with enough colliders and mesh. Now with your tip, man… It comes in automatically. Like magic! Incredible! Não recomendo marcar as outras duas, o meu travou bastante, mas só a primeira ficou ótimo! I was almost opening another project and redoing, thinking it's some problem (even ocache I'm cleaning kkkk). tks!
Huge, thank you
Thx bro
This helped, but is there anything else that can be done? I have a hold on busy for 35 seconds to run in the Editor and even longer to stop. Running on SSD and neither the CPU nor the RAM is even close to max.
Thank you very much! ♥
thank you
You look like Bully Maguire lol
