  1. Hi, Thank you for the tutorials. You explain things very clearly.
I have a small question. I got a static shot about 1 minute long, I add something on the background, but need to roto a group of people and cars. What would be your advice on this scenario?
I've tried to roto those front objects, but then the AE became very slowly, and then stoped working. PS. I'm new to AE. Thanks a lot.

  2. Doing it in AE CS version requires exporting the movie sequence to a PNG or a series of PNG depending on what you want to do. Importing that photo into Photoshop.

Then use the Magnetic Lasso, follow that up with the Bezier Lasso. The Magic Eraser with tolerance adjustment is another good way to delete a background. I would have to do that for each layer if I want to save the layers for paralax.

I would then save the files with all layers as a PSD. Import the PSD with all layers to AE to continue the VFX.

The old way takes time and is a lot of work but it beats digging ditches. The Roto version 2 is faster.

  3. Hey..I love your videos , specially the extra stuff about basics which people skip since they're used to it but viewers dont know ..Can you make some long tutorials about softwares and plugins and various sections – like 1 video about MochaPro with everything in it (then make a playlist and add your related videos to it)…Element3d..Various Things within AE like "Add" option below shapes which has offset, trimpaths, etc …OR Sound design – this would make for easy series of videos plus probable sponsorships for you hopefully …ALSO Do you have twitter/discord to contact you easier ?

  4. Cool tutorial Flo! To mention that rotoscoping hair is an area that AI and machine learning have not been very successful at yet. Many of the companies that specialize in roto for Hollywood films use the application Silhouette and at times use tracked open splines to have precise control over individual hairs. It's a lot of work!

  5. Nice tutorial!!! When u have a badhairday it looks better then my badhairday. Maybe cuz I don't even have any hair anymore. Thank u for the video.
When u create the tutorials do u use a storyboard? Do you consciously adjust the camara movement in order to get an optimal transition?
