One of the best tips in the internet. it works!
I would do this differently.
First, in the top section (or container) I would add the image ,heading, text and button.
I set to the section to full-width 100% and 100vh.
I do the same with the image. I set image width and max-width to 100% and height to 100vh. Set object-fit to cover.
Go to advanced tab and set the postion of ther image to absolute and z-index to -1.
You can add padding to the container and align the text the way you want, the image will stay in the background and behave like a background-image. You can even use a filter on the image.
And no need for negative margins…

I got ad sense approved and verified but it but next day got email from Google to visit 'sites' section and clear the bugs for them to place ads. Mine is a news website. I don't have hateful content.
