Hisense showcased a 136-inch & a 163-inch MicroLED TV at #ifa2024, quoted to have an ultra-high refresh rate of 7680Hz, although this likely refers to the PWM frequency of the pixels.

8k but the 8k is hz
You keep saying 163" in the title and description…
8k and 135". NOICE!
7680hz? I'm going to need a faster graphic card.
163 inch. So basically your whole wall and then some…
I deserve to own this tv. I want to watch movies on it with a girl, which i also deserve
But i came across many people having trouble with their Hisense tv, from what i read it seems unreliable
Let's get these down to 50" and at an MSRP of $1,200 😂
Sadly, MicroLED isn't the future of anything. It's far too expensive and has far too low of a yield coming out of production. Those production costs will never come down to a consumer market level which is why most companies are already passing on that technology altogether now and just moving onto whatever they see as being the next best option of several available choices out there today.
Microled tech has advanced in its reliability and has significant advantages. Higher brightness, better durability vs oled, black levels like oled should be possible, extremely fast cycle (so fast that most people here don't believe it's possible). We knew this tech should surpass oled, but it was not ready 20 years ago. I saw several displays being used in Shanghai, at museums, a few months ago. Not sure how old the tech was, but was literally shocked how big and how many of them there were being used.
lol normal people only need 55 to 75 inch only
Daft punk in the background ❤️
Fantastic to see the boundaries pushed. I'm happy with my Hisense. Would be great if they can solve the black uniformity issues. Not a sexy specification but it has real implications in image quality. That and gaming modes that are equal in visual quality as their non gaming modes.
Sure might be the future cause oled has burn in. But youll never get the same contrast as oled with microled unless you bump up the local dimming zones to match the pixel amount. And that would be very challenging and very expensive. But might be possible and might get cheap in the following years. Nobody knows 🤷
Not as bad as being a 2023 Hisense U8K owner having foolishly updated his firmware.
Less features, more steps to get to settings.
not even dp 2.1 with dsc can do 7680hz at any resolution
How many kidneys is the 163" model?
did they mean "resolution" ?
Response time will never be the same as oled so microled will be good for tv, not gaming monitor imo
This refresh rate means that it is possible to explore other methods of displaying motion instead of sample and hold which has held back panels since CRTs were retired. Images on TVs look great, now it's time moving images get the same care.
120-150" is what we are waiting for 🥳 It's minimum for whole wall and home cinema 🙂
7680Hz is common nowadays, but for the most part the processing makes it only be used. upto 480Hz.
Amazing
Who on earth has room for a 136" or 163" display?
Isnt that LED diode refresh rate, not whole display?
Pls elaborate more on that 7k hz…
