One is a new favourite of mine, the other, I wouldn’t touch with a 1-foot stick. Can you guess which one?
Web review:
Other slim cases I’ve reviewed:
Both of these cases are incredibly slim and both offer great access to your iPhone. The Expro handles quite well as the edges are quite rubbery whereas the Crystal is handles just shy of wet soap. Both cases have unique corners to them and the Crystal even comes with two different sets of coloured bumpers.
Based on my time with both of these cases, I’ve give the Expro a score of 4.5 Eh’s out of 5. Its a “winning” case. The Crystal is almost the exact opposite with a score of 3.8 Eh’s out of 5. How everything plays out with my scoring system, anything below a 4 is something you need to be careful. The Expro is one of my all-time favourite cases for the iPhone 6 and is right up there with the Rhinoshield Playproof, the K11 Bumper and the Thule X4.
In terms of design, both of these cases are unique because of the corners. The corners on the Expro look a lot tougher than the Crystal but both cases basically gives your iPhone a set of ears. Going against the general curves of the iPhone may be a risky move but based on the comments I’ve seen when I’ve used this case in other videos, some of you really like the uniqueness of the case.
The Crystal is the slimmer and smaller case but its so light that it feels incredibly cheap. It’s so thin that it barely reaches pass the iPhone and if you have a screen protector on it, well, that’s going to be the thing that holds up the iPhone if you place the Crystal on a flat surface. Both of these cases have a very slick back to them so they’ll slide around quite easily on a flat surface. The back will also show scratches a little easier than other cases.
The Expro has rubber edges that really improve the handling of the iPhone whereas the Crystal, as I mentioned earlier handles like a bar of wet soap. The iPhone 6 Plus version of the case has been on that iPhone for several weeks now and still looks like a brand new case.
In terms of protection, neither one of these cases is drop rated though I did give them a bit of credit for drop protection because of the corners. The edges of the Expro are decent, the edges on the Crystal are non-existent so don’t drop the Crystal face first. There are no extra cutouts on either one of the cases which is great.
The best part of the Expro is the handling it provides for your iPhone. My iPhone feels incredibly safe in the Expro because the rubber sides are incredibly grippy. The only other cases with such grippiness is the Spigen Ultra Hybrid Tech and the Tech 21 Classic Shell.
Access to your iPhone inside the Crystal is perfect as there isn’t anything covering the buttons on the iPhone. The cutout at the bottom of the case is great because there’s no case.
On the Expro, the buttons work well and the cutouts are large enough for 3rd party accessories.

Where can I find one of these cases? Seems like their site doesn't work and eBay and Amazon don't have them.
@mobilereviewseh Aaron, great video – thanks! You couldn't recommend a good website to purchase the Expro from, could you? Also, a recommendation for your favorite all-around case for protection / functionality.
I saw a case brand Dualtek. I wonder how did it score well in your real usage scoring.
Regards,
Dino.

Nice review 🙂
Hey man, could I buy your expro, either green or grey. Their site isn't working for me and I can't find them anywhere else. I love cornered cases like this. The tylt sqrd for the 5s was my favorite but I haven't seen anything like it til now!
Nice! Is the back of the Expro made of TPU or PC? Is it as slick as say, the PC back of the ultra hybrid tech? TIA.
Can you review the mysymmetry by otterbox?
