You can use channel art to brand your channel’s identity and give your page a unique look and feel. Your channel art is used on all platforms where viewers can see your channel, but may look different on desktop, mobile, and TV displays.
Add or change your channel art
On a computer, sign in to YouTube.
In the Guide, click My Channel.
Near the top of the screen, click Add channel art. If your channel already has channel art, just hover your mouse on the existing banner until you see Edit edit. Then, click the icon and select Edit channel art.
Upload your image from your computer or saved photos, or click Gallery to use one from our photo library.
You’ll see a preview of how the art will appear across different devices. To make changes, click Adjust the crop.
Click Select.
Image size guidelines
For the best results on all devices, we recommend uploading a single 2560 x 1440 px image that’s been optimized to fit this template:
You can download our Channel Art Templates to make sure your banners always look good.
Note: To accommodate retina displays, all pixel dimensions have more than doubled from what you would measure on normal monitors. On non-retina displays the image will be scaled to less than half the size with the same aspect ratios.
Channel art on different devices
Your channel art may look different on desktop, mobile, and TV displays. There’s a safe area, in which text and logos are guaranteed not to be cut off (1546 x 423 px centered on the image).
