It always seemed strange to me that in such a structured xml-based language, the <path> tag just uses this weird string with its own mini language. The list of commands could easily have been child tags inside the <path> instead. I wonder why they decided to go this route.

bruh, i didn't even know svg could be used to draw stuff, i thought it was just an image lol. SVG's are seemingly simple at the surface yet beautifully complex under the hood.
