Hey @natertater do you do house calls? Running Verizon 5g internet I'm in Milan MI out in the sticks feel like ive tried everything to get a strong signal with no luck. Best ive ever gotten is around 75mbps and im right by a tower near US23! I feel like it should be way faster than that
One question tater, I only have one tower at my location, simple enough, will that gateway lock band n41 and n71 at the same time? This is my problem, I can only lock b2 & n71 or b2 & n41. Will this device lock b2,n71,n41 all at the same time? I also have been b66 and B12 at my location, but the fastest speeds or consistency is with b2&n71, definitely for uploads. B2&n41 have great download but the upload is very bad compared to the b2,b66&n71 combo.

Nate, you should do a review of the InvisaGig Custom OS Qualcomm SDX62 Quectel RM520N-GL – Standalone Modem NR5G 4G LTE. I have two Chester 5G Routers, love them but I really don't need the WiFi as I use both as backup internet for my Ubiquity Unifi UDM_Pro Routers that have two WAN ports and both load balancing or failover options. This new InvisaGig seems like a great solution for anyone with an existing WiFi Router or Mesh environment. I just wonder is the 4GLTE/5G performance as good as the Chester?

I tried this last night with my tower, but changed the PCID to an alternate (i know of at least 3 pci for my N41 tower)… nothing worked… it stayed on the default one… I also tried another nearby tower, but it wouldnt connect… Did you restart the modem to make the changes work?
I picked up this router about a week ago to use with my T-Mobile home internet. Worth every dime!
With the default gateway I was to far from the tower. 1-5mbs download. Basically no signal.
Hooked up chesters router and a 2×2 waveform. Now im getting 25-60mb dl and 5-12 up.
I can't point to my closest tower due to a large hill. So i had to point it at the next closest tower which is 7 miles away. It says I have a weak sig but its been rock solid all week. Extremely low ping and jitter.
Hey i also have t mobie home internet and its great for everything but gaming. I have it in the window and im one bar away from Excellent Connection. Anyways my ping is good but it seems like im dropping packets every few seconds go by. Im on b66 & n41. Would a booster make my ping more steady? Btw yesterday i moved my tmobile until off the window and it seemed to lag less. I feel like when im gaming its jumping from 4g to 5g or 5g to 4g causing the spikes
I Nater. I got the Verizon home gateway and did IP bypass. I can get to it with a open port but my friend can't even ping it. Does it only let your own cell phone get to it like ssh port 22 to it? When I had the cable modem on bridge mode it worked very good. This seems to but no one else can ping it or ssh me.

Excellent info Nater! I am no expert, but my understanding is the scs is the band width of the ‘channel’ so the more narrow the channel width the more of the spectrum of the band can be utilized most efficiently thus allowing more ‘channels’ per ‘band’. In cell locking in band NR-N71 (663 MHz – 698 MHz for uplink) I would recommend using SCS set at 15 KHz which is the smallest (narrowest) channel width for best results. It probably works at any setting since a higher channel width would include the narrow 15 KHz. The channel with has to do with co-channel interference like FM radio band spacing of 200 KHz/0.2MHz…
Band N-41 is a different animal because it’s mid-band 2496 MHz – 2690 MHz and I’m not a engineer nor do I work with these frequencies.
BUT, play with the settings as you can’t hurt anything. I find N-71 set at 15 KHz SCS works best when locking on my tower… 😊
