After upgrading to ATT fiber, I realized that Sony PlayStation 5 does not correctly show the upload speed. I’ll prove it under 5 minutes.
I am guessing that many, myself included, are concerned their upload speed is not great. A low number may indicate to many that they cannot stream to YouTube or Twitch, or that their online performance is hindered by inaccurate readings. This video is to show you that no, this indication is not correct. I’ll even show you how to test it to see what your real upload speed should be.

I have the same problem somebody can fix?
UK here 🇬🇧 I've noticed this issue recently. I usually get my full throughput speed D/L & U/L via the PlayStation network test. However, in the last week or so I've noticed my upload has dropped by a third on the test, and is now continuously not giving me an accurate indication of my actual upload speed.
I have conducted speed tests via my ISP, browser speed tests, and other devices: XBSX, tablets PC, etc. which all give me readings in line with what I pay for. The PlayStation network test is the exception.

Honestly, I think it’s just PlayStation. Because my husband plays Xbox and he does not have any issues whatsoever.

I just done exactly what you done there with Hyperoptic in the uk showing 850mbps download and 11.6mbps upload when test internet connection. When I linked you tube account and clicked on privacy and then the dots to click Google search went to speed test ookla and I had 910.58mbps download and also 832.92mbps upload I see exactly what you mean thanks so much I was pulling my hair out and even hyperoptic advised then didn’t know after a new router why was showing this. They also said they have a system issue where they cannot access my router remotely to configure. So awaiting to see resolution to that internal system issue

Been dealing with this for a few months, my best advice is just switching to xbox. I tried everything new router, port forwarding, dns settings, mtu settings, factory resetting my ps5 and making sure it was up to date. Contacted playstation they said it was my isp but on my computer & phone i have much higher upload speeds. This is an issue with ps5 consoles and there is absolutely no way to fix it besides buying a new ps5 but why would i do that if there is a chance of it happening again, so i just rather go to xbox

i have the same problem in my ps4, when i test through a browser i have 400-500 down and 30-50 up but when i test on the console it’s says 200ish down and like 6 up. and i lag, everyday, on every game i play. i’ve cleaned my ps4, i use an ethernet cable with blue stream fiber, i’ve tried dns 8.8.8.8 and 1.1.1.1, i’ve reset my router countless times. it’s ridiculous and annoying.
Oh and just know I contacted Sony support and told them about the issue they could not explain anything about this issue

bro i swear im thinking of getting a pc just because of this the thing is when im playing games the internet feels fine like im getting 1000 mb up and 250 down which is my internet speed when i test it on the web browser but for some reason on the ps network speed test it only gives me like 300-800 mb up which is weird sometimes it even shows 100 mb up and from 4-7 mb down
Is there a fix now?

Got the same problem, 969Mbps down 3 Mbps up. Browser 989 down and 978 up. Still no fix. 🙁
I have the same issue .I get 1Mbps and I paid for 250 Uploading speed. it works everyone but not at the test internet connection of PS5. and I'm lagging wayy to much in my games.
I just did a Ookla test on my PS5 browser and it read 985 down 41 up. But my PS5 says 4 up. Is my PS5 running at 4 or 41?
On my PS4 i got 500 down and 50 up. Now on my PS5 its 850 down and 5 up. I dont understand
