I took Mr.Hussey's Udemy course and learned quite a lot. I had to take a JavaScript and NodeJs course after it but I'm now a full-fledged full-stack developer and I enjoy my job and life now. From his course I've grown to be a professional competent in Python, JavaScript, PHP, SQL, React and a bunch of other libraries and it all started with his Web Design course.
this is so cool…thank you verymuch sir
thank you ..really means a lot it has helped me a lot ..may almighty bless you❤❤❤❤ love from Bangladsh
I'm excited!!!!!
I can't wait to start learning 🙄
I thoroughly enjoyed ( 6:03 ) your dig at experts who "want to judge" you. I mean "revisit the principles." lol.
Hello Brad, I'm a female Nigerian student studying linguistics and languages, I want to learn web designing and I hope your channel helps me, thanks .
oh,may be I have got a good platform to learn web design.
.
The video is really helpful. Thank you for such a useful stuff.
Hey Brad,
Just want to say thanks for your courses. They are all very throught out and I can tell you care about the content you're providing. I am in your freelance course and I got sidetracked for 2 months due to other circumstances but now I'm back it. I also was looking for a good web design course a few months ago and almost bought yours but chose not to since the information was outdated. Then today, I decided to check it out on Udemy and noticed you're updated it (i imagine that many people have been requesting it) and so I purchased with much haste. You're getting better at the videos and presenting everything. The freelancing course allowed me to see that you truly care about helping others and not to mention, you're not afraid to exhibit your faith.
You're becoming an inspiration man, and thats something I don't normally to say to people. So keep doing what you're doing. And I hope God continues to bless your hard work!!
Thank you so much for the info sir and you also made the video fun and interesting. God bless
What do you do after you’ve built a website?
I am excited about this course
Hi Brad. A long time ago I took your WordPress and bootstrap course on Udemy. It was kind of and opening eye. And I am really exited about these series of videos about concepts and NOT trendings. Anyway. I am trying to get customers with wordpress and elementor. Because I am really bad as graphic designer. Thanks!
Hey Brad, I have taken your course WordPress Theme Development with Bootstrap on Udemy and really enjoyed your teaching style. I am a developer that solves issues for designers in the New Orleans area, who's idea of good design is to put a box around the item and using a little CSS to round the corners is really special LOL. Thanks for helping all the left-brained people like me to understand design better. Keep up the good work!
I'm doing your css 30 days. Is this different form your css30? Or this is the updated one??? Please help
I have a suggestion what if you do web design reviews and critique them.
I hope I can see more courses coming from you, taking your ultimate web designer and developer course was refreshing and it set me on the path to becoming a web developer.
Hi Brad,
as a backend developer who is trying to learn frontend i think that web design (uiux) is most struggling for me
while learning js and react the logic and syntax rules are pretty easy but when I need to actually display the data I get really confused on WHAT is the right way.
for example – I build a website that displays users and tv shows. while the tv shows i display as cards i have no idea what is the right way to display list of users.
and what colors to use
i hope you will cover such things
looking forward to listen to other videos on this subject 🙂
can't wait to see the next video, thanks Brad
I'm a PHP developer and would like to see a course that starts from the basics. Would like a course on Canva. How to pick colors, fonts…etc. I designed & hand coded https://www.phpprogrammer.org/ – I did it all, HTML, CSS, PHP, and MySql. Would like to become a better designer. Still working on the website.
I'm all in Brad. I also have your Freelance course on Udemy. I've already learned the basics of HTML/CSS/Javascript but when I sat down to create a website, I was not really sure what to do. Most developers are handed a psd file or a wireframe drawn up somewhere and they build off of that. They don't have to think about design, they just look at the picture and make the website look like the picture. But when you have to make the picture it's daunting. Hope you teach us a way to get started.
Looking forward to the video series. I can build a website, but I know my design works needs help. Hopefully these videos can help me put a bit more style into my websites.
I really need to learn to make a cms.
It would be nice if you can update courses on Udemy for us too.
Hi I am working to be a full stack web developer and no clue how to get off thd ground with the coding skills i already have. How to make it a running business. The paperwork that I might have to worry about? How to price a project? Making sure the sites i create are sacure.
which website do I need to build to get a job as a web developer?
do you have a planned video on finding a job as a web designer / developer?
Hello Brad, I'm your student from Udemy. Thank you for this free course and sure I'd like to the following ones.
Would be nice to learn how to set up a time frame for a client wanting a website designed. So that you can gauge your time and the amount you should charge for your service etc… Looking forward to learning XD!!
Love the design emphasis. See a lot of good design (principles) out there – just seems misplaced. Maybe another arrangement of the design (elements) would have crafted a better flow to suit the site and the organization’s web presence and goals. Would like to know design arrangements and how they lend themselves more effectively depending on the website’s purpose and organization’s mission to add value (services/products/content) for their audience/customers.
I fully agree with you: it's up to me to get better! I have had enough of "hearing" people with real-life jobs, who lost theirs, and they don't do anything all day long but complain, instead of taking a piece of paper, write on it what would they like to do, what it takes to do that, and what areas they need to develop in themselves to get there. The saddest part is that most of such people are still young … and lost. It is sad to see a 36 years old saying: "I'm too old to learn". Seriously??? I'm 57 now and I started in freelancing in 2008. I was – and still am – a Project Manager, but then I wanted to learn web design. I did it on my own. I did a lot of mistakes along the way, but mistakes are inevitable. And they are good because you can – if you want – learn from them, and don't repeat them again. And I keep learning as long as my brain will allow it. "I'm too old" will never be a lame excuse in my regards. So here I am: I do web design, but I feel the need of having everything I have learned on my own structured and validated by someone else who does this successfully for a living.
Hi Brad, been in the business since 2015, learned a lot (partly based also on your html, css, sass courses on udemy) of all bits and pieces about creating websites for customers. And there is a lot to learn and to keep up to date. When is comes to design, I usually get inspired by others, to learn (“copy”) how to combine frames, boxes, colours, etc etc. My question for you is, “how do you craft beautiful designs, where to start, how to learn. When you design, do keep the technical part (possibilities, limitations, etc) in mind? Etc… Thank you.
Ok, I'll bite. I took one of your course on building a web site with Bootstrap. I've got a good site for book reviews, but that's it. I'd like to generate some $ from the site, but that's not happening, so maybe you'll give me some insight on how to monetize a web site. I don't intend to make a fortune, just enough to enjoy doing the book reviews I do. On with your course!
First I'd be interested in knowing general design principles, the do's and donts.
Second, what open source tools could be used for that purpose and your opinion about them.
This all looks great! Looking forward to best practices and principals. How to make it pretty and working at the same time.
Thanks, Brad. I can pretty much figure out the technical aspects of building a web site. Making it look engaging is my challenge. Hoping to learn a few tricks and hopefully using tools that do not cost too much. Most of my work is as a volunteer so don't bring in revenue to support my "hobby".
I have found the ding-ding and am waiting for the next ring-ring to know what to do with my thing-thing 😂.
Hey Brad! Thanks for the awesome video. I'd love to know how you're using Sketch (if you're using it). Also interested in your UX/UI approach 🙂
Thanks for sharing…
