Its dawn to me to try it once I was sitting alone and it improved my speed from 100 to 246 mbps. But i still feel iam short because my package speed is 450 mbps. Is hdmi to ethernet a better option to get full potential?

Might be a great idea, but totally impractical for me, as my modem is DOWNSTAIRS and my bedroom, where my TV is, is UPSTAIRS (and it's not workable to move the modem upstairs). So, thanks anyway. 🙂

Cheers..i Got an adapter as described plug it into the USB port (3.0)..the speed is still the same as when I was on Wi-Fi. I do somethin wrong?..the numbers weren't terrible.(170dl, 13ul).. I was just expecting better.
Five minutes to say, "Don't use wifi to connect to your network; instead use the ethernet port on the TV."
My router is on the 2nd floor and our HDTV is below on the 1st floor. I can't run an ethernet cable without making a mess of our walls and a subsequent divorce. The average download speed on the HDTV was ~ 75 with the Spectrum router. I bought an ASUS RT-AX3000 V2 Dual Band (and the price was reasonable!). The speed test showed over 300 MBPS download and 11 MBPS upload.
As the router has 4 antennas, I can adjust each antenna individually to optimize the device's speed. A 32" HDTV in our basement is now receiving ~ 250 MBPS download speed now and it's 2 floors down from the router. This router is also supporting V6, so as the new devices include that in the future, it's ready for it. This is the best router I've ever had.
When the cable from the router is unplugged and plugged into the TV does the wifi still work?
i can only watch tv using wi fi as the distance from router to tv would require a 50 ft cord . so this new device is no value for me

Why is the adapter then going into USB faster than just plugging the ethernet wire into the LAN? Maybe there is something to it since I am getting slower speeds with cable just into the LAN port. Another variable is the wire, I am using CAT 6. I tested with CAT 8 and it was no better. The USB 3.0 is fast but before that you are transmitting on the ethernet cable so how can the USB speed it up?

My LG tv didn't recognise the usb adapter,it only says "unknown device connected" and that's it no internet,nothing. Any advice?
This is why I really am not a fan of wifi. I put holes in three walls to hard wire my PC into the router.
how do you connect the ethernet cable from the router? I do not have ethernet cable coming out of my wall.
Unless you're using Cat5, then the speed is still 100mpbs or less
My router had a warning for the tv, no matter which port I used, saying to use a better cable that it was only getting 100mbs. I changed changed my cat6 cable thinking it was bad. I reset the tv after going through all my settings and nothing. I went through my router settings and disabled the priatization of streaming over everything else. I rebooted my router. Nothing. I found your video and I'm sold. Thank you sir.
